Extension of the Major Educational Recycling Competitions until September 20, 2025
More opportunities for students & the environment
Big Prizes for the winners: Travel to Europe, Greece and smartwatches!
Due to the exceptionally high participation and following many requests from schools, TEXAN S.A. announces the extension of the major educational recycling competitions to primary and Secondary School students as follows:
1) Major Educational Recycling Competition in Municipalities of the region of Attica, in cooperation with the Regional Association of Attica Municipalities (P.E.D.A.),
2) Major Educational Recycling Competition in Municipalities of the region of Crete, in cooperation with the Unified Waste Management Association of Crete (U.W.M.A.C.),
3) Major Educational Recycling Competition in Municipalities of the region of Peloponnese, in cooperation with the Peloponnese Solid Waste Management Body (FODSA),
4) Major Educational Recycling Competition in the Municipality of Chalkida,giving schools even more time to participate.
The response has already been impressive, and now the opportunity for action and reward becomes even greater! The competitions are under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports and will be completed on Saturday, September 20, 2025.
The students participate by recycling plastic, metal and glass materials in the state-of-the-art Multi-purpose Recycling Centers of TEXAN, which have advanced “sorting at source” technology and operate in selected points of collaborating Municipalities. At the end of the process, participation vouchers are printed, which must be collected from each school class and be delivered to the respective Municipal Offices on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
The winners will be announced on Friday, September 26, 2025 on the company’swww.recycling-center.gr website and social media.
The three (3) big gifts for each of the 4 Major Educational Recycling Competitions of primary and secondary education schools are:
• 1st: A five (5)-day trip for all students of the school class with the greatest participation to any city in Europe of their preference.
• 2nd: A five (5)-day trip for all school students to any city of their preference in Greece.
• 3rd: Smartwatches for all students of the class with the third highest participation.
This initiative is a continuation of TEXAN’s “Corporate Social Responsibility” actions, aiming to combine technology with environmental education and to activate local communities
