TEXAN SA has established a long-term partnership with AB Vassilopoulos S.A. and has organized and implemented on behalf of AB Vassilopoulos, since 7/7/2004 the only ‘Individual Alternative Packaging Management System’ in Greece and Europe of private label and AB imported products; this system bears the formal approval by the MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT & ENERGY (former Ministry of Environment and Public Works).
SPECIAL RECYCLING MARK
In the context of operating the individual system, AB has created a ¨specific recycling mark¨, applying in all private label products and, of course, in recycling centers. This approval was based on the provisions of Law 2939/2001 and concerns ¨Alternative Management Systems¨ for product packaging.
THE 1ST WORLDWIDE MOBILE CENTER FOR ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION AND RECYCLING
The 1st worldwide MOBILE CENTER FOR ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION AND RECYCLING has been developed by the ‘Individual Alternative Packaging Management System’ by AB Vassilopoulos, approved by the Ministry of Environment and Energy, with a view to cultivating pupils’ environmental awareness and educating the public on sustainable development and circular economy.
Since 2018, the double-decker bus, with the design, ownership and industrial patent belonging to TEXAN, has been traveling across Greece encouraging everyone and mainly young children to be informed, to recycle (since an automated recycling machine of plastic and metal packages is available on board the bus) and to participate in interactive actions on environmental protection.
