In May, the Mobile Center for Environmental Education & Recycling of AB Vassilopoulos visited the Municipality of Dafni – Ymittos for 2 weeks.
Specifically, the Recycling Bus operated as follows:
- During the 1st week between 5/5/2025 – 10/5/2025 at Iroon Polytechniou Square, Konstantinoupoleos Street, old Town Hall of Ymittos.
- During the 2nd week between 12/5/2025 – 17/5/2025 the MOBILE CENTER operated at the Olympic Athletic Center Michalis Mouroutsou, Al Papanastasiou 68-70 Avenue, Dafni).
More than 300 students from the primary and secondary education of the Municipality, as well as the 3rd Scout Group of Ymittos discovered the value of recycling through play, learning, and… a thrilling treasure hunt!!
The Mayor of Dafni-Ymittos, Mr. Nikolaos Tsilifis, visited the Center for Environmental Education & Recycling on Thursday 15.05.2025 and engaged in conversation with the students, capturing their excitement for this unique and memorable experience.
As a token of their participation in the Environmental Education, children were given commemorative gifts—seed pencils—so they could record their thoughts and experiences. Once the pencils reach the end of their use, they can be planted to grow into aromatic herbs. A commemorative gift representative of the circular economy for the protection of the environment.
