On Thursday, September 4, 2025, Dr. Panagiotis Mourgos, CEO of TEXAN, was present at the opening Gala Dinner, attending the important speeches of Mr. Alasdair Ross, Countries Editor “the World Ahead 2025”, the Economist, Mr. Boris Johnson, former UK Prime Minister and Mr. Evangelos Marinakis, Founder and President of Capital Maritime & Trading Corp.
On Friday, September 5, Dr. Panagiotis Mourgos took part in the panel “Business and Innovation in an Emerging Investment Hub” along with top personalities: The Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance Mr. Nikos Papathanassis, the President of the Federation of Industries Greece, Mrs. Lucia Sarantis, Vice President of Eldorado Gold & President of Hellas Gold, Mr. Christos Balaskas and the Managing Director of Sani/Ikos Group, Mr. Andreas Andreadis.
The discussion underscored the investment opportunities that could drive the development of the circular economy, while also addressing the challenges arising from the current economic and geopolitical environment.
Dr. Panagiotis Mourgos stressed the 5th participation of the group in EcoMetSummit, confirming the timeless support in a key event for entrepreneurship and investment.
He said that TEXAN implements a Corporate Social Responsibility program, with an investment of EUR 1 million in environment, education, health and society.
He also highlighted the investment in human resources, creating nearly 600 new jobs, with a target of 1,000 by 2026.
This year, the World’s First Mobile Multi-purpose PV Recycling Center is being introduced—an innovative, energy-autonomous project developed by Greek engineers. Designed for operation on islands and in coastal areas, it is already slated for export to European markets.
Greece has the potential to serve as a stable investment destination, offering innovative solutions that foster sustainable growth, generate employment, and deliver value to society.
