From Monday, March 4, 2024, to Friday, March 15, 2024, the Mobile Environmental Education and Recycling Center was located in the Municipality of Acharnes.
Specifically, our bus parked at the following points:
1. Aristotle Square
2. Town Hall Square
3. Agia Anna Square
Our bus was visited by 780 students and educators, who were informed about recycling and got to know up close the most effective recycling method with the 'Sorting at Source' system.
Finally, the recycling bus was also visited by the Mayor of Acharnes, Mr. Spyros Vrettos, along with deputy mayors and representatives of the Municipality, who got a firsthand look at our pioneering initiative and interacted with the students from the schools.
Mayor Spyros Vrettos stated:
"The first Mobile Environmental Education and Recycling Center of our country is currently in Acharnes. With great joy, I saw children from schools in our city being informed and educated about environmental protection and recycling of waste materials, setting a bright example for all citizens. Such actions and initiatives contribute towards this direction.
Environmental consciousness must become everyone's concern. As a municipal authority, we have prioritized sustainable development and support recycling in every possible way. We are well aware that it is the only way to conserve resources and at the same time ensure our own future and the lives of our children.
