TEXAN: Big School Recycling Competitions for students at the Municipality of Athens and the Region of Peloponnese
Great prizes await the 3 school classes for each competition that will recycle most of the materials in the state-of-the-art Multipurpose Recycling Centers of TEXAN, in collaboration with the Municipality of Athens and FODSA (Solid Waste Management Body) of Peloponnese.
Within the framework of TEXAN Corporate Social Responsibility program, two new big School Recycling Competitions are organized for Primary and Secondary School students, both of the Municipality of Athens and FODSA (Solid Waste Management Body) from the Municipalities of the Region of Peloponnese, under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, which will last until May 25, 2024.
The aim of these competitions is to raise awareness and actively involve young people, especially students, in the recycling process, while contributing to the fulfillment of the quantitative recycling targets, which are obligations of the country toward the European Union for sustainable development and environmental protection.
The school classes with the highest participation in each competition will win unique gifts – prizes.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
1. The students return for recycling plastic, metal and glass materials in the Multipurpose Recycling Centres, which are installed in various parts of the cooperating Municipalities.
2. At the end of the recycling process of all materials, the participation voucher in the competition is automatically printed. Students can collect vouchers altogether as a school class.
3. In order to participate in the competition, each school class must deliver on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., to the relevant Town Hall, all the vouchers it has collected and counted, after having completed the data listed.
Prizes - Awards:
In each competition, in 1st prize for the school class with the greatest participation is a 5-day trip for all students in any city in Europe they choose. The 2nd prize for the second highest class participation is a 5-day trip for all students in any city in Greece they choose. The 3rd prize for the school class with the third highest participation is a Smartwatch for all its students.
Nomination of winners
The school classes that will win the 3 big prizes - awards of the Big Competitions of the Municipality of Athens and the Municipalities of the Peloponnese region will be announced on Friday, June 7, 2024.
