The President of TEXAN, Mr. Apostolos Mourgos stated the following:

“The most important message is that recycling is going through a new era, and Greece can set an example. As pioneers in the circular economy and environmental innovation, we are committed to offering solutions that make a difference. The New Photovoltaic Mobile Multi-purpose Recycling Center is the next step. The future of recycling & sustainable development is here. But it needs collectivity and teamwork. Together with MVP, Recycling Ambassador in Greece, and all of you, we are committed to making this vision a reality—and we can achieve it.”

The New Photovoltaic Mobile Multi-purpose Recycling Center is a global innovation that constitutes the next step in the circular economy. It is fully energy-independent thanks to photovoltaic panels and stores electricity in a battery array for uninterrupted operation.

This mobile Multi-purpose Recycling Center will cover the needs for recycling on islands and in coastal areas (where there is a great seasonality, which does not allow the creation of permanent infrastructure), for large producers of packaging waste (such as hotels, restaurants and entertainment shops), but also smaller towns and villages (where the periodic existence of recycling infrastructure is required). Using solar energy for power generation fulfills the essential requirement of energy autonomy, enabling the operation and use of the Multi-purpose Center in locations where a three-phase electricity supply is unavailable.

Plastic and metal materials are recycled in this Multi-purpose Center, in the easiest and fastest way, by pouring materials into the special reception, while all the work of identifying, sorting, processing and storing materials, as well as of the cost-effectiveness of the financial cost to the citizens is carried out automatically using the high-tech technical specifications of the equipment.

At the same time, at the Pavilion of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, visitors can get to know the way the Multi-purpose Recycling Center is operating, which is already located in more than 400 locations throughout Greece; visitors are also able to recycle plastic metal & glass materials and be informed at the same time about the rewarding motivation.

Throughout the exhibition, TIF visitors have the opportunity to be photographed with the MVP of Recycling and collectable objects signed by Giannis Antetokounmpo –Most Valuable Protector (MVP) and Recycling Ambassador in Greece participating in the competition “Most Valuable Protectors of Recycling”, claiming technology gifts.
