The 2nd Big Educational Recycling Competition for Primary & Secondary Schools in the Municipalities of Peloponnese Region has started!
Within the framework of social and environmental awareness programs, TEXAN in cooperation with FODSA (Solid Waste Management Entity) of the Peloponnese Region, organizes a Big Educational Recycling Competition for students of Primary & Secondary Schools in the Municipalities of Peloponnese region, under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs & Sports. This initiative aims to raise awareness and encourage active participation of young people, especially students, in the recycling process.
The Big Educational Recycling Competition for Primary & Secondary Schools in the Municipalities of Peloponnese region is open to students of all schools located in the Municipalities of Peloponnese region where Recycling Multi-Centers are located.
The competition will take place at the Recycling Multi-Centers, which are installed in 46 sites of the Municipalities of Peloponnese region, and will last until Friday, May 30th, 2025.
Students can recycle plastic, metal and glass materials.

At the Recycling Multi-Centers located in 46 various sites at the Municipalities of Peloponnese region by FODSA (Solid Waste Management Entity) of the Peloponnese Region.

Until Friday, May 30th, 2025.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
The Big Educational Recycling Competition for Primary & Secondary Schools in the Municipalities of Peloponnese region is open to students of all schools located in the Municipalities of Peloponnese region where Recycling Multi-Centers are located.
In order to participate in the competition, students of Primary - Secondary Education schools can recycle plastic, metal and glass materials to the Recycle Multi-Centers located in the Municipalities of Peloponnese region.
At the end of the recycling process of all plastic, metal and glass materials, the participation voucher of the Big Educational Recycling Competition for Primary & Secondary Schools of the Municipalities of Peloponnese region is automatically printed.
The students of the Primary & Secondary Education departments will gather collectively as a school class the participation vouchers of the Big Educational Recycling Competition of Primary & Secondary Schools of the Municipalities of Peloponnese region.
Each school should deliver by Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, all vouchers collected and counted at the City Hall in each Municipality after having filled out the required information in order to participate in the competition.
The three (3) schools classes that will recycle the largest quantity of materials (and thus have the highest participation in the recycling process) will win the three (3) big prizes.
All the terms of the competition have been submitted to a notary.
PRIZES
The three (3) big gifts - prizes of the Big Educational Recycling Competition of Primary & Secondary Schools of the Municipalities of Peloponnese region are the following:
1st GIFT - PRIZE*, for the school class with the highest participation:
One (1) 5-day trip for all students of the class to the European city of their preference.
2nd GIFT–PRIZE**, for the school class with the second highest participation:
One (1) 5-day trip for all students of the class to the Greek city of their preference.
3rd GIFT- PRIZE, for the school class with the third highest participation:
One (1) Smartwatch for all students of the class.
*If the first (1st) school class that recycled the largest quantity of materials is a kindergarten or an elementary school, then the 1st GIFT - PRIZE will be: One (1) Electric Bicycle, for all school students.
** If the second (2nd) school class that recycled the second largest quantity of materials is a kindergarten or an elementary school (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th grade), then the 2nd GIFT - PRIZE will be: One (1) bicycle for all students.
Please note that the gifts-prizes are personal and specific and can be exchanged for money.
NOMINATION OF WINNERS
The nomination of the schools classes that will win the three (3) big gifts - prizes of the Big Educational Recycling Contest of Primary & Secondary Schools of the Municipalities of Peloponnese region will take place on Friday, June 6ht, 2025.
