TEXAN was, for yet another year, the Gold Sponsor of the 36th Annual Greek Economic Summit | GES2025, successfully organized by the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce on 2–3 December 2025 at the Athenaeum InterContinental.

 

 

The honorary guest of the conference was the Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who held discussions with Ioannis D. Sarakakis, President of the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce, during the official dinner.

During his remarks, the Prime Minister underlined the following:


“Greece has a dynamic ecosystem of start-ups of technology companies with great potential for attracting capital and excellent human resources.”
“Greece is an increasingly attractive investment destination. The productivity, extroversion and quality of the products and services offered form a new, modern production model.”

The statement by the CEO of TEXAN, Dr. Panagiotis Mourgos, was along the same lines in the panel “Investment & Innovation: Partnerships for Growth”, along with the Minister of Development Mr. Takis Theodorikakos, Mrs. Ermioni Georgoulaki, Country Manager Greece of Procter & Gamble and Mr. Grigoris Karelos, President & CEO of Kenvue Greece, Balkans & Israel.


As Dr. Mourgos stated “In 2019, Greece was selected to establish the first recycling machinery production unit in a highly competitive environment. We promised 90 new jobs; today we have already created 600, our immediate goal is to reach 1,000 jobs. At the same time, we strengthen social cohesion through well-paid permanent jobs and through corporate social responsibility programs, investing€ 1,000,000 in four key pillars: environment, health, education and local communities.”

He also referred to the 1st worldwide Mobile Multi-purpose PV Recycling Center of TEXAN, which was presented for the 1st time in September 2025 at the Thessaloniki International Fair; this was an innovative project designed by Greek engineers and was fully energy autonomous. "In a few days, the first stable, energy-autonomous Multi-purpose Recycling Center will be presented, through photovoltaic systems, confirming that in Greece we can innovate, be pioneers and make the most of the Greek human resources."
 

 

The Minister of Development, Mr. Takis Theodorikakos also took part in the same panel discussion stating the following: 

“By 2030, Greece should not only be a country with better statistical performance, but a country that has turned its recovery into tangible results and hope for young people.”
