The mobile Center for Environmental Education and Recycling starts visiting schools for the year 2022-2023 from the Municipality of Rafina - Pikermi.

The modern mobile "Center for Environmental Education and Recycling" by TEXAN and AB Vassilopoulos conveys the message of recycling to children and young people across the country, in an original and different way.


The first stop for the new school year is the Municipality of Rafina Pikermi.
In particular, for the period from 3 to 9 October 2022, the mobile Center for Environmental Education & Recycling is located in the Municipal Parking Mantika in Rafina, while from 10 to 14 October it will be located in the Municipal Unit of Pikermi.


Celebrating the beginning of educational activities of the Double-decker Recycling Bus, an event was held on Wednesday, 5 October, attended by the Mayor Rafina-Pikermi, Mr. Evangelos Bournous, Eleni Provides, VP Legal & Public Affairs, Head of Sustainability, AB Vassilopoulos, and students from schools in the Municipality together with accompanying teachers.


Everyday students, teachers, citizens and bodies visit the “Mobile Center for Environmental Education & Recycling” and they are trained through an interactive video-viewing presentation. In addition, on 1st the bus decker, visitors can recycle plastic and metal packaging in the ultramodern rewarding recycling machine, realizing thus in the best way possible the benefits of recycling. 


The Mobile Center for Environmental Education & Recycling started its course throughout Greece since April 2018 and has so far been operating in over 50 places across the country, such as municipalities, beaches, camps and many areas of Attica, as well as the rest of Greece, training more than 27.000 children in total. Its acceptance by citizens, students and the entire educational community has exceeded every expectation. Our aim is to continue the journey of the recycling message and to call on all Greece to recycle, get trained through specially designed audiovisual material and gain knowledge on recycling and environmental protection!
