Giannis Antetokounmpo from Milwaukee, USA, invites lower and upper secondary school students to participate in the “1st National School Recycling Championship”, which is currently in full swing.
With a powerful message, he calls on the new generation to actively contribute to the protection of the environment.
The "1st National School Recycling Championship" is organized by TEXAN S.A., a pioneer in the field of circular economy and recycling. The initiative is part of the company’s “corporate social responsibility” programs and its firm commitment to enhancing environmental education and will run until 15 May 2026.
It takes place in the context of the proclamation of Giannis Antetokounmpo as “MVP - Most Valuable Protector” of recycling in Greece.
It is under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs & Sports and the Ministry of Environment & Energy and aims to raise awareness and active participation of young people and especially students throughout the country, in the process of recycling.
The response of the students is impressive, with school classes from all over the country actively participating by collecting plastic, metal and glass materials for recycling at the Multi-purpose Recycling Centers, aiming to be declared MVPs of Recycling, to travel with their classmates to the USA and get to meet live their idol Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The “1st National School Recycling Championship” is open to students from classes of lower and upper secondary schools (Gymnasiums and Lyceums).
The competition is held in the Multi-purpose Recycling Centers which are installed nationwide and are presented on our website: Addresses of the Multi-purpose Recycling Centers
