With a mind-blowing live performance by Konstantinos Argyrou, organized by TEXAN
TEXAN, a leading company in the construction and operation of high-tech automatic recycling machines, held an impressive Big Recycling Celebration in Thessaloniki, from 2 to 4 October 2023 to raise awareness on the value of environmental protection and the importance of recycling!
The celebration ended at Nea Paralia in Thessaloniki with an exciting Zero Waste Concert starring Konstantinos Argyros, the phenomenal artist with continued successes and countless sold-out appearances, in front of tens of thousands of spectators and against the background of the historic statue of Alexander the Great.
The event was honored by the presence of the Mayor of Thessaloniki Mr. Konstantinos Zervas as well as politicians and businessmen of the city.
Four state-of-the-art “multi-purpose recycling facilities” as well as dozens of recycling bins of separate collection were set up in Nea Paralia in Thessaloniki with TEXAN happily welcoming young and old visitors who became familiar with the process of proper recycling for plastics, metal, glass materials and paper with the system “Sorting at Source”, the most effective method for protecting our planet. In addition, TEXAN conducted a unique contest for the 24 citizens who collected most of the materials with big prizes.
In this special evening, the President of TEXAN Apostolos Mourgos delivered the gifts to the first winners among them and students from the Laboratory of Medical Physics and Digital Innovation of the Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki, in recognition of their significant participation in the recycling process, which included electric bicycles, action cameras and smart watches.
During the music event, Konstantinos Argyros mentioned the following: “Today we are here, together, and ready for recycling, with zero footprint as all packaging is recycled at TEXAN Multi-purpose Recycling facilities. Let recycling be a first step towards a better future and may this step start from the beautiful city of Thessaloniki!”
Mr. Apostolos Mourgos, President of TEXAN underlined the following: “It is a great honor for us to receive such a warm welcome reserved for us by the people of Thessaloniki! The entire Big Recycling Celebration was successfully embraced by giving great support to our efforts for environmental awareness directed at the most important goal, not being other than to contribute to the protection of the planet by promoting circular economy and sustainable development through proper recycling. A big thank you is also extended to Konstantinos who helped us to convey very loudly the message of recycling with his songs and his personal environmental sensitivity! TEXAN will continue to play a pivotal role in protecting the environment and promoting recycling, offering an example of sustainable practice and raising public awareness on environmental issues.”
