In the context of its multifaceted CSR actions, culminating with the large donation of € 1.000.000 on 4 different pillars (environment, health, education, local communities) which are ongoing and with a strong sense of Reward vis-a-vis society, TEXAN completed an extremely important donation to the National Health System (NHS).

On Friday 02/03/23, the company delivered a state-of-the-art ultrasound imaging device by General Electric Healthcare company to cover the needs of the New Intensive Care Unit at "Evangelismos" General Hospital This is a necessary first-line machine for general diagnostic screening tests, but also for emergencies, multi-injured patients etc.

In addition, this donation was completed with the delivery of health and medical equipment for the hospital clinics.

This donation followed on from the large sponsorship to NHS, which has been launched since June 2022. After the spread of Covid-19 and the increased patient care needs, TEXAN donated 10 packages of medical equipment to strengthen the new high dependency unit (HDU) of the Intensive Care Unit (H.S).  at "Evangelismos" General Hospital. The donation included devices, materials and consumables, as well as an operational computer system from Cambridge University (University of Cambridge), which features an innovative software coming to Greece for the first time. The ICM+ software, developed by Dr Peter Smielewski & Professor Marek Czosnyka, provides monitoring, analysis and storage of multiple patient data in real time in intensive care unit environments. It has advanced possibilities to process and analyze patient data collected at the same time and is a highly proven, leading-edge clinical research tool that can help save human lives.

Ms Anastasia Kotanidou, Professor of Pneumology and Intensive Care of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (EKPA) & Director of the 1st Intensive Care Clinic in "Evangelismos" General Hospital addressed the President of TEXAN, Mr. Apostolos Mourgos and stressed the following:
"We thank you very much for your important donation to meet the basic needs of our hospital.
As a token of appreciation for your valuable and praiseworthy contribution and looking forward to your voluntary assistance in the future, we send our wishes for well-being and health to you and your family.
We believe that these acts of support and mutual assistance should be highlighted in these times so that everyone knows who is actively supporting the future of our country.
Finally, we inform you that we will highlight this gesture by informing our hospital’s medical and nursing staff."

The Governor of Evangelismos General Hospital, Mr. Anastasios Grigoropoulos, said the following about the donation:
"Today with the delivery of the ultrasound imaging device of VERSALA ACTIVE laptop model, as well as the recycling bins at the hospital premises, the donation of the company "TEXAN SA Environmental Alternative Management Systems" completed its donation.
We warmly thank the President of the company for his very important and valuable offer to the Hospital, once again highlighting the company's tangible and ongoing support to the hospital's medical staff and patients."

During the ultrasound imaging device delivery, Mr.  Apostolos Mourgos, President of TEXAN SA underlined the following: "We promptly and decisively responded to the kind request we received from "Evangelismos" General Hospital, as it is clear that health is one of the areas with particularly increased needs & we must support it and protect it in any way possible. At a time when the public health system is under constant pressure and there are significant needs in health care institutions, TEXAN Group proves in practice that it is close to our society and our fellow human beings."

As part of the donation, TEXAN placed at key sites in "Evangelismos" General Hospital 10 dedicated recycling bins, in cooperation with the National Collective System of Alternative Packaging Management "REWARDING RECYCLING" for sorting at source and offering a rewarding incentive for recycled packaging.
