TEXAN had a strong presence at the annual conference of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, held on 16-20 January 2023, as a Partner of the Greek House Davos 2023.
The Greek House in Davos is Greece's promotion organization under the WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM (WEF).
It opened its doors with the support of Enterprise Greece and EOT - Greek Tourism Organization, during the World Economic Forum (WEF): Annual Meeting 2023. It aims to provide a unique opportunity for promoting Greece's remarkable investment opportunities and for promoting the international investment success stories of recent years. One of these success stories involve TEXAN and ENVIPCO joining hands and investing in environmental protection, creating in Greece the 1st plant for the production of recycling machines beyond the borders of the United States, making Greece a central hub across Europe.
TEXAN was Partner of "Greek House Davos" as one of the successful case studies to promote Greece in the global environment.
The Greek delegation participated with the Prime Minister Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Mr. Adonis Georgiadis, Minister for Development and Investments, Mr. Christos Staikouras, Minister of Finance, Mr. Kostas Fragogiannis, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, responsible for investment issues, the Vice-President of the European Commission, Mr. Margaritis Schoinas.
It is the second time Greece had such a strong presence at the World Economic Forum (WEF).
"I can tell you with certainty three years later and having already completed an extensive round of contacts in Davos that the country's image has changed dramatically," said the Prime Minister Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis, adding that effective partnership between the public and private sectors can drastically help develop and promote our country.
The President of ΤΕΧΑΝ, Mr. Apostolos Mourgos, talked about the significance of the group's membership as a Partner in the Greek House Davos. "This participation is of strategic importance as it highlights the recognition & successful progress of TEXAN, constituting also a “success story” that showcases Greece as an investment destination."
