TEXAN participated as Platinum Sponsor in the new major OT FORUM "Greek Entrepreneurship 2.0+", which was held on December 12-13, 2023 at the small Athens Stock Exchange.

Dr. Panagiotis Mourgos, CEO of TEXAN SA, spoke with Mr. Kostas Skrekas, Minister of Development, elaborating on the green aspect in the investments that Greek entrepreneurship now needs, as well as on the new projects in the field of Recycling and how much TEXAN has contributed to it over the last years.

In particular, Dr. Panagiotis Mourgos declared the following among others:

“There have been many other changes that led to the positive image of Greece and its being chosen by the United States to implement the high-tech manufacturing plant for materials recycling by TEXAN on Greek soil.

“With an excellent workforce, tax decompression and parts of the equipment manufactured in Greece - thus creating goodwill - we were able in September 2018 to announce at Thessaloniki Fair the construction of the plant and later to accelerate the procedures, proceeding with such an investment, the first American move in our country after the great crisis from which Greece emerged. The inaugural ceremony took place in December 2019, in the presence of the Prime Minister of the country Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis and the then US Ambassador to Greece, Mr. Geoffrey Pyatt, marking the importance of the investment for our country’’ stated Mr. Mourgos. 1,000 new jobs and two new investments by TEXAN Mr. Mourgos announced that “TEXAN is committed to creating 1,000 new jobs in the period 2023-2026! The recycling and circular economy sector, as we see in the European Union, creates many new jobs. It is a sector requiring high investments, but it offers significant growth and new jobs. It is important to create new jobs to fight unemployment, for everyone to have work, so that society can prosper and that businesses can grow.”
