On Monday, May 29 2023, an event took place at the Hotel Grande Bretagne in Syntagma Square, hosted by the Head of the Public Relations Office of the Association and journalist Mr. Dimitris Biziotas.
The following Olympic winners also attended the event on behalf of the Hellenic Olympic Winners Association: Mr. Pyrros Dimas, Ms. Evy Moraitidou, Ms. Hara Karyami, Mr. Vangelis Patras, Ms. Nery-Maidei Niangkouara, Ms. Chrysa Biskitzi, Ms. Maria-Louisa Vryōni, and Ms. Aphrodite Skafida.
Mr. Apostolos Mourgοs, President of TEXAN S.A., and Ms. Stavroula Zygouri (Olympic winner in wrestling), President of the Hellenic Olympic Winners Association, co-signed the Memorandum of Cooperation.
The President of Hellenic Olympic Winners Association, Voula Zygouri, stated: "The philosophy of sports is closely related to the environment. Sports require a healthy natural environment and can serve as a motivation and inspiration for deeper respect towards nature. Moreover, it touches millions of people worldwide, making it an extremely powerful tool for creating environmental awareness among both the general population and the sports community, which inevitably contributes to the environmental footprint. Guided by the principle that a better 'tomorrow' is secured by the actions we take 'today,' we have decided to collaborate with TEXAN S.A. This is because, in addition to its expertise in the field, it has demonstrated a strong social sensitivity."
The President of TEXAN S.A., Mr. Apostolos Mourgos, commented on this new collaboration:
